Quit Smoking with Hypnotherapy

crsst

Whether you started smoking 10 months or 10 years ago; smoke 5 or 50 a day, I can help.

Whilst each two-hour Quit Smoking session follows the same format, I will send you a detailed questionnaire before the session and use this information to tailor my session plan and hypnotherapy script to your individual needs.

During your Quit Smoking session I will:

- Analyse the habits and patterns you have formed around smoking

- Discuss strategies to deal with these habits and with people/events that could be a stumbling block to quitting

- Expand your knowledge on the dangers of smoking

- Use a long-standing and successful hypnotherapy script tailored to your circumstances

- Show you a tapping technique to get you over any residual cravings you may have
- Give you an 8-page booklet with tips, information and relaxation exercises to take away
- Give you a reinforcing CD to use at home

If you have decided to stop smoking you are no doubt trying to come to a decision about the best way to go about it; and whilst it may appear facetious, the answer really is “the one that works for you” – unfortunately for some that’s a case of trial and error.  If you have tried several methods to stop smoking and been unsuccessful you can congratulate yourself for weeding out what didn’t work; now you've found one that will.

The smoking habit
If you think it, you will realise that many of your cigarettes are lit simply because that is what you do at that time of day, or in that place; we all love routine because it is safe and familiar. Our mind also likes it because when something is tried and tested it can be moved to the subconscious mind leaving the conscious mind to focus on newer things. In other words it becomes automatic, or a habit. How many times have you been in conversation yet managed to find, open and light a cigarette without missing a beat; your eyes hardly moving from the person you are talking to. That shows just how ingrained these routines, or chains of action, become; you no more consciously think about smoking than you do about how to drive the car, or how to write your name.

The subconscious is also part of our protective mechanism, and when an action is perceived to be keeping us from harm it stores it and uses the conscious to block access, much like passwording a file.  When you started smoking it clearly seemed like a good idea – maybe it was to fit in with your peers (perhaps protecting yourself from ridicule) or to get yourself through a period of difficulty (protect yourself from emotional harm, hurt or anxiety) so smoking was seen by your subconscious as good for you. When you want to stop, the subconscious protection battles against the conscious with its knowledge of the dangers and as the subconscious is stronger it very often wins. What hypnotherapy does is use the hypnotic trance to gently ‘park’ the conscious mind allowing suggestions that will change fears or habits to be made directly to the subconscious.

The cost of the two-hour Quit Smoking session is just £95.00 - A non-returnable booking fee of £45 must be sent with your completed questionnaire. The £45 deposit is non-refundable, this covers time spent going through the pre-session questionnaire and preparing a suitable hypnotherapy script. The remaining £50 must be paid either prior to, or at the end of the session by cheque or cash. Payment can be made on my other site www.quit-tobacco.co.uk/shop
