Why PastImperfect you may ask - well, the name came to me because so many of us have problems in the present day that came about due to something that happened in our past; that could be due to our upbringing, issues with siblings or friends, or hurtful relationships with the opposite sex. Few of us look back on our childhood, schooldays and teenage years as being idyllic - we usually have difficulties at some stage.
The good thing is that, although we cannot change that past, we can change the thought and behaviour patterns that have been created and so make positive changes that can alter our future. It's not always easy, but I can help you using Counselling and Hypnotherapy help you understand and overcome the negative patterns that past difficulties may have created.
Who am I - my name is Denise J. Clough, and I work from my home office in Upper Heyford and at The Banbury Counselling Centre. I am fully insured to work with adults, children and groups through Towergate SMG.
Since completing my Hypnotherapy and Counselling Diplomas my continuing education has included:
Day courses in Drugs Education, Alcohol Education and Drugs Prevention in the Community (Plater College, Oxford. NOCN accredited) Short courses in Solution Focussed Brief Therapy (Brief, London), Hypnosis for Childbirth (Mindtech, accredited by the National Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists), Emotional Freedom Techniques Level 1 (Phoenix EFT) and a Diploma in Smoking Cessation Therapy (College of Integrated Therapies).
I have recently decided to upgrade my Hypnotherapy qualification and am working towards the NCH and NCfE accredited Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (National Occupational Standards Level 4) with the Central England College of Clinical Hypnotherapy. The HPD qualification includes modules on Ericksonian Hypnosis, Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy and NLP Professional Coaching.
